ABOUT US

We've been collecting Southwestern and Guatemalan crafts and arts for 20 years, more seriously for the last 10 years. Our collections overfloweth; thus, we offer some of our findings to you. And the proceeds will help finance our further journeys across the range of the Coatimundi, and beyond.

What's with the coatis, you may wonder? On a recent trip to Villahermosa, Tabasco, Mexico, we walked through a park and were swarmed by the wee beasties. Coatis are cat-sized cousins of racoons, but they're the pleasant cousins, and so curious about humans. They're also called ring-tailed cats. They naturally range from the US Southwest to northern Argentina, which encompasses some of our favorite terrain. We thought that coatis would be nicely emblematic of our endeavours.

The COATI WORKS site will only be active when we have good crafts to sell on eBay, and when we're actually at our home base in California's central Sierra Nevada mountains. Upcoming months will see us driving to Canada's Yukon and Northwest Territories, journeying to Peru, and who knows what else. When we're in-between travels and we have more booty to dispose of, the shop will be open again, and serve as a display window for eBay auctions.

Feel free to contact us at any time at info@klaxo.net. Don't be dismayed if we take a while in answering. We'll be back.

SHIPPING ETC

PRICING: We've generally bought these items either from sources in the area of origin, or at local auctions, often for our personal collection. Our prices reflect our original costs. We've researched current prices in the US for similar items. Our prices are generally about 50% (ONE-HALF!) of retail in most parts of the US. For cheaper huipiles, you'll have to go to Guatemala yourself.
SHIPPING: We normally ship via fast USPS Priority Mail; other shipping methods may involve delays. Shipping weights quoted on each item are based on single-item sales and shipping; if you buy multiple items from us, we'll ship them together at a discount. Our shipping charges include insurance and tracking. For shipping outside the US lower 48 states, or for shipping multiple items at once, please contact us at info@klaxo.net.
DISCLAIMERS: Availability, price and shipping for any item may change at any time before an order is received for that item. The photos of each item hopefully accurately depict that item, but nobody's perfect. We insure each item but otherwise are not liable for losses incurred in shipping.

To contact us with any questions or comments, send an email to info@klaxo.net and we'll reply as soon as possible.
